"I think the kidney has found a happy place!"

Mark's creatinine is now at 1.3! The NG tube is out! Mark still can't eat, but he is moving around. He met Mark Thomas in the family waiting area. One of the most exciting moments today was when Dr. Montgomery, Mark's Transplant Surgeon, visited and stated, "I think the kidney has found a happy place!" Mom is also doing much, much better! She is eating a regular diet and is resting much more comfortably! Mom may be discharged on Monday or Tuesday! We are incredibly appreciative of all the love, support, and prayers our family has received over the past few weeks!

Kelly, SO SO happy for all of you guys! I continue to think of you all and am sending prayers up for all of you! You are SUCH a STRONG woman to have endured and continue to endure! I am so thankful that you seek the Lord for strength and comfort during such times, for without Him, we have nothing. Keep us updated! Much love,

Wendy

Mark, you have no idea how happy I am fpr you!!! After normal recovery from surgery, you will be amazed how much better you are going to feel and how much energy you are going to have. From one transplanter to another, hang in there. Glad the kidney found a happy place:) my prayers are with you and your family.

Have been without computer access for almost two weeks.......kept thinking of you all, especially Jan. 31, and wondering what was happening. Kept you in my prayers.
Was so happy to learn that the kidney is working and it appears Mark and your mom are in the recovery mode.
Will pray for you dad......had to be rough on him, as well as your mom.
I can only imagine what an emotional toll this has taken on all of you........I remember the good days and the bad days with my brother during so many procedures and surgeries! WE could not have made it without God's hand holding our right hand through it all.
Prayers will continue..........so happy for what has transpried so far...........
